When Life gives you Strawberries ~Open

What had brought the daughter of Hades into the middle of the strawberry fields? She didn't even know. Perhaps it was to just think, and get away. Though, she could always go to her cabin and do that. Being the only child of Hades at the moment had its perks. She was able to choose her own activities and not share a cabin with anyone. However, it also had its downside. At dinner she would watch all the other campers sit with their sibilings and she would be all alone. It made the feeling of loneliness more prominent, it sucked. Then to return to an empty cabin. Granted, like it was said before, sometimes having the cabin to herself was not at all a bad thing. She didn't have to worry about anyone dealing with her mess. Granted, there wasn't much of a mess one person could contribute to a big empty cabin, but still, it was a nice feeling to just have a place to yourself, at times.
Felicity continued walking through the strawberry fields. No one was working them this time of year. Heck, it was a miracle to see strawberries even growing in the middle of a New York winter. Even though, some days have hinted at an incoming spring. It would still be awhile. Perhaps it was because of Dionysus and Demeters kids here that the garden was still thriving. Oh, and the magical weather barrier. That was an added bonus. Besides, the camp needed a way to fund itself with mortal expenses and so the camp cover-up, this strawberry business was pretty much a perfect deal. Felicity knelled down next to a small strawberry crop. She had no knowledge of farming. She couldn't tell if this was a baby strawberry or a mature one.
Felicity sighed as she stood up from knelling down. The scent of strawberries were becoming a little overpowering for her taste. She walked to the edge of the field where you could stand next to the crop but not in it. She looked over the entire crop. There was so many strawberries. Though, it made sense. It had always been that way to Felicity. Of course, she never worked them. She didn't have the skill sets for that kind of labor. Nope, usually she had night patrol of camp. She figured it was because everyone thought the daughter of Hades was stronger at night. Granted, since there were more shadows for her to manipulate it was easier for her to use her abilities at night. Though, she wouldn't deny that she missed being able to sleep a whole night through without having to wake up for patrol duty. Ever since the murder of that one camper she had been doing extra patrols. It was frightening to know that a camper died within the camp boundaries. Was it a god, or a camper? No one knew.
Felicity lied down on the turf of grass and watched the clouds. Hopefully this entire mess will get cleaned up soon. At least before the summer term started. Having double the amount of campers here while the camp was still dealing with an unanswered threat could bring serious danger to all the demigods. Felicity might not be the most popular demigod at camp, she could think her heritage for that one. However, she still cared about the camp and its occupants. This was her home.

“Great… how did I end up here?” Josh said as he walked down the road to the Strawberries field. He spent most of the night by the lake and the shore next to his cabin. Chiron had told him to check on those places, maybe because he was the one who could communicate to the submarine creatures. Chiron still had some faith and he hoped that maybe some or at least one of the creatures down there could tell them what happened, maybe one of them still had some contact with the Gods. But Josh doubted it deeply. He remembered the day when the camper died. He decided to have a night swim, it was off limits, but he didn’t care he needed that swim that night. But suddenly Cirrus, his Pegasus, got there and told him that his presence was required in the big house. He thought it was just something for a dumb mission or maybe a Hecate kid had hexed an Aphrodite one, he never thought that a camper had died.
Since that day, Chiron asked him to guard the water, while others had to guard other parts of the camp, but that day he was really tired, and couldn’t focus really. He instructed Cirrus to tell him about any changes in his cabin and also told some naids to call him if there was a change in the lake or in the sea. He needed a break and he was going to take it in that moment. But when he started walking, for the first time he felt lost, he didn’t want to go to the water springs, but there were the places where he thought at rested the best! Suddenly he looked around and noticed he was in the Strawberries field. He sighed and kept walking. He smiled at the smell of the field, he loved it! His mother used to have a lipstick with that smell and when she kissed his cheeks, he could smell the strawberries all day long.
He sat on the wet ground and then just lay back. His body was covered by a long line of crops. He closed his eyes and relaxed, he was glad that the ground was wet, then he also was in contact with his element even if it wasn’t salty water. He was almost fallen asleep when he heard some footsteps coming closer. Who could it be? No one had to go to the fields in a couple of hours… right? He sighed and knew that if it was a Demeter or Dionysus kid, he would get in a lot of troubles. He decided to sit up and check who it was. He looked back at the person who had just sat on the ground, he frowned at the sight. No sweet kid from the god of wine or goddess of nature, it was Felicity, daughter of Hades. “Oh… good day…”

Felicity stopped when she saw the lying figure of a boy. What was he doing in the fields. Also, who was he. Could he be the killer that has the camp all in an uproar? No, she had an odd suspension that he wasn’t. Actually, now that she thought about it. He looked kinda familiar. When she saw his face she knew why. That was Josh, her cousin on the godly side. Of course, no one here at camp really cared about the godly relation to one another. People were free to date whoever as long as they weren’t in their cabin. It helped make things easier for everyone, since most kids here probably only knew the other campers. That was Felicitys story. She was a year long camper so wasn’t able to associate much with the outside world.
She knit her eyebrows together. ”Hi to you too. Though, you don’t seem so happy about it. Where you expecting someone else.” Felicity said with a teasing smile. She knew that Josh had a way with flirting to girls. She didn’t particularly enjoy it. Why would she? This guy was the only one out of all the other campers who seemed to understand her and support her. He is one of her best friends, which isn’t saying much because she probably had less than three of those. Still, he was a great person to run into during the day. Josh made her day better. Truthfully, Felicity wish they could be more than friends but, Josh never seemed interested in her like that. He was always flirting with someone else. Now, lately Felicity had been destroying some of his moonlit dates by having the girls become super afraid of the shadows. But a girl has got to do what a girl has to do. Even if that meant scaring off some females. Gods, was she really turning into that type of person. Stupid love.
”Anyone in particular. Perhaps that daughter of Dionysus. What’s he name again. Ah, Charlie!” Felicity said with a smile. She had just recently met with the daughter of Dionysus. She was an interesting person. Addicted to orange Gatorade though. Still, that seemed to be the only logical reason for Josh to be chilling out in the strawberries fields. Or his deodorant decided not to work and he need the fresh picked smell of strawberries. Though, that was probably the most off scenario Felicity could think of.

When Josh looked at Felicity, maybe his face hadn’t showed the right emotion or maybe it did. What he knew was that Felicity had thought that he had been expecting someone else to join him there. Usually he could act as if he was hurt or surprised by her thought, but he couldn’t not with her. Felicity and Josh had some history together, not in a romantic way, but as friends and partners. They had spent the same time in camp, they got there when both were just kids, found out that they were children of the big three, which pushed them to be enemies. Although within time they learned how to be civil one to the other and even more, they developed a very crystalline friendship. Felicity almost always knew what was he thinking and he was aware of her train of thought, at least until recently…
From some recent time to that day, Josh had noticed that Felicity always got kind of… upset when he flirted with other girls or if he was on some dates, specially if the girl was an Aphrodite’s girl! Felicity just hated them. But he couldn’t figure out why she acted like that, she still was his best friend, he still spent time with her and he would never stop to stand her ground, so why she acted like that?! Well that, maybe, would be one of the biggest mysteries in his life… well that and the identity of the one who killed that camper some days ago, who he thought that was Lilith McKinnon, Thanatos’ child. When she asked if he was expecting for someone, he realized on the same upset tone in her voice, it was hidden deep in her voice, in the back of her throat. Josh opened his mouth to tell her that he had been out there just to think when she brough the name of Dionysus daughter, Charlie.
In fact she was a gorgeous girl, he had the blessing of had seen her a couple of days before by the beach. She was wearing her swimsuit and was so shy… he kind of liked that. But not matter how much Felicity thought about it, he wasn’t waiting for Charlie there. “No, in fact I was here to be let alone and think…” But then he noticed how bad that sounded! He didn’t want her to go away, to leave him there. He didn’t know why, he enjoyed his time with her, he felt in peace when he was around her, he thought it was because they knew each other for a long time. “No wait… sorry… this guards all night have been messing with my mind… I’m sorry.” He said and sighed with an apologetic smile. “I was here because believe it or not, people didn’t let me think by the lake or by the beach, campers are asking all the time if we got some news about the murderer” he sighed and frowned. “and… could this seaweed head, know what my favorite corpsy girl is doing out here?” he asked in a more calmed and friendly voice.

Felicity smiled softly at her friend. She knew how bad the nightly guard duty was becoming. She had it almost every night. Way to use all the Hades demigod powers she figured. Or they just decided that since big three kids do not actually have an entire cabin to run then they can be the ones who suffer through the night. Felicity sighed and sat next to Josh. "It's okay. You forget, I'm right there at the gate while you are guarding the beach. They are always assigning us the night watch." Felicity said with a slight smile. Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if they were assigned to guard together. Yet, even the camp was aware of the different genders that they were and decided against having a girl and boy alone together at night. Still, the two of them had been together since they arrived at camp. They would have friendly feuds every now and then but that was expected of two children of the big three. Yet lately Felicity has been getting more and more jealous of the girls he was hanging out with. Perhaps all the hanging out they did when they were younger opened up something in Felicity. Perhaps a certain crush on a certain someone had formed.
Felicity sighed. She had also been struck by all the news. She was on guard duty that night and she was a daughter of Hades. People figured she was either the one to blame or she was the one with answers. It was frustrating. She wanted to know as much as the other people. "I know. Just because we are big three doesn't mean we hold the answers." She knit her eyebrows together. "Why not think in the ocean?" Felicity asked with curiosity. If she could escape somewhere for a long time where no one else could be at she would. Okay, so she had that little dimension she went into during shadow travel but she had no idea how long that worked. Felicity had no intention to kill herself trying either.
Felicity smiled as he said her nickname. He was the only person in camp who didn't tick her off when referencing her with the dead. To her she found it a symbol of their friendship. She was corpse girl and he was seaweed brain. It was their teasing nicknames for each other. "Same as you I guess. To think. Wasn't expecting to run into anybody. Least of all you." Felicity said teasingly. She didn't mind running into him though. Even with all the weird feelings attached, Josh was the only person in camp Felicity could talk to. Well except about relationships. Considering her new found crush to her best friend. She was friend zoned before she even realized she liked the guy.

Josh looked at Felicity while she smiled at him. He had been a jerk to her just seconds before that and still she smiled at him. Hades girl, still she wasn’t all covered in shadows, fear and death. Felicity was the complete opposite, as if you put her on a wheel and just spin it 180°, she was full of life, confidence and shine, not that her face was shinny, no! Her behavior was like the bright sun. Josh liked that of her, deep inside it was one of the reasons why he enjoyed to spend the whole year with her. But he would never accept that in front of her. He nodded when she told him that she understood what he meant. “I know you’re at the gates, I’m not that absentminded!” He smiled at her a bit more. “I’ll ask Chrion to allow us change the guard shifts at least on the weekends, if not we’re going to be driven crazy by Morpheus!”
Josh stretched out while she told him that she didn’t understand either why everyone thought that they held the answers to everything. “I know! It is like…” Changing his voice as if he was talking to someone else. “…’hey guys! I’m not the oracle or Almighty Zeus! So please stop asking!’…” he said and then sighed. “Sometimes it makes me feel so tired that they think like that.” Then he sat straight and looked at her. She also asked why he wasn’t thinking in the sea. She was right about it, inside the water he could be left alone, at least from the campers’ side. The creatures under the sea would still be there and some would ask him the same question or they would ask for his help… as always. But… he needed to be completely alone, for a moment, he needed to have a blank in his mind, maybe that way he could think about the hints of the murder in a better way.
“I didn’t want the creatures down there to distract me, besides…” he breathed deeply and the scent of the strawberries got into his lungs again, he smiled a bit more. “I love the smell of the strawberries, it helps me to think or focus…” he said and then shrugged smiling tenderly. “Have I ever told you why I love strawberries so much?” he asked and smiled at her, if he could tell someone about his deep and personal secrets, it was Felicity, his best friend. She joked about not expecting to find him there. “I can go and submerge my seaweed brain in the sea if you want to be left alone.” He winked at her.

Felicity laughed. He was right though. They really needed to discuss this guard duty thing. It was suppose to be rotational but lately it was always Josh and Felicity. They weren't immortal. One of them was going to faint from exhaustion if they kept it up like this. "You said it. Not me." Felicity said in regards to his comment regarding being absentminded. Felicity never thought Josh was stupid. Sure, she called him seaweed brain but that wasn't to insult his intelligence. Of course, he does say some stupid things sometimes but they have the exact same education. If she were to call him stupid then she would be insulting her own intelligence too. Although, they didn't stop her from teasing him from time to time. That was just the way their friendship worked. Plus, she figured Chiron was happy that they were no longer trying to kill each other like when they first met. After ten years the thought of killing each other probably became too bothersome. Plus, Felicity hated repairing the stuff they broke in their fights.
Felicity laughed at his impression. Of course, it was the oracle of Apollo, not Zeus. Another little slip of the mind. Most people got that confused though so it was okay. Felicity sighed when he finished. "Between them and the night shifts. Josh, you and I are going to faint from exhaustion soon." Felicity said jokingly. She was able to be so relaxed with him. After all this time they spent together it was nice to just have someone to be normal with. She didn't have to act like a strong big three kid because, Josh was also a big three kid. He understood what it meant. It really wasn't all fun and games like the other campers thought.
She smiled and nodded her head. That was understandable. Having all the fish talk to you most have been annoying a bit. Of course, Felicity never heard a fish talk. It probably sounded very inaudible with all the bubbles. Then again, all the fish in Finding Nemo sounded clear. However, that was a Disney movie, hardly realistic. "That makes sense." Then he mentioned the love of the scent of strawberries. Felicity had never known that before. She knit her eyebrow together. She was curious now. "No. I don't think you have. So, why do you love strawberries so much?" Felicity asked. She rolled her eyes and playfully punched his arm softly. "No, you need to be in the sun more. With all the time you spend submerged you might actually grow gills." Felicity said with a laugh and smile.

Josh remembered when he first came to the camp, he was a 7 year old, scared, little boy. He was told about the truth of his birth, about the existence of gods and demi-gods. he was surprised and thought that he was going to lose his mind in that moment. He was fan of a cartoon that was based on that, that has all the gods and the knights, the heroes. His favorite had always been Poseidon and in a way he got the answer of why he had always like him and the sea. Still he was just a scared little boy.
Then he met Felicity, she was also a 7 year old girl, he was told that both of them were kids of the three big gods. He was Poseidon’s and she was Hades’ and for that they would be meant to fight and discuss all the time for all eternity. Which they did a lot the first couple of years, only Chiron and sometimes an older guy a son of Athena were able to stop their fights and not before Josh and Felicity destroyed mayor areas of the camp with their powers. But then around their 12 years they stopped fighting that much, they were sent on their first mission and they had to work together to survive. Since then they had turned out to be best friends in the world.
Whenever he was with Felicity he remembered those days, more if she teased him or called him by her favorite nickname for him, ‘seaweed brain’. Only Felicity could call him like that, if any other did that, well… they would find themselves soaked in salty water before they could realize about the mistake they had committed. So when she told him that he had said he was an absentminded person, he smiled and nodded. “ha-ha, so you’re not going to say something like…” he changed his voice to imitate hers. “…’oh! no, you’re not absentminded, you’re clever and would never make a mistake like forgetting such things’…” he smirked and looked at her.
Then she mentioned what would happen if they didn’t get a proper sleeping night and she was right, they would be found next morning fainted on the ground or something just like that. Josh nodded and smiled at her. “I definitely going to tell Chiron about it, maybe a counselor can help us with some nights, don’t you think?” He was also trying to think on a solution, if there weren’t anyone capable to do those shifts, then he wasn’t going to leave his post, the safety of the other campers were the main thing on his agenda, so he wasn’t going to be a whining baby.
Then she joked about how much time he spent under water, but it was only a way to tell him to stay there. Maybe it was their DNA that didn’t allow them to be more direct to each other in that kind of matters, but he was used to joke like that, they understood each other almost without words, which he loved… LIKED! He liked that from their friendship!! Then she told him he hadn’t told her why he loved Strawberries so much. He smiled widely but with a hint of sadness in his voice. “My mother used to wear a lipstick with strawberry scent. When she kissed me, she left that scent on my cheek all day long, so I felt she was with me all the time. Now when I come here and close my eyes, I feel she’s with me and that helps me to think and relax maybe as much as the sea water.” He looked at Felicity knowing that she wouldn’t tell that secret of him to others, he knew she would keep just between both of them.

Gods, why did Josh have to be so funny? This was making it harder and harder for her to keep their relationship on just a friendly basis. Yet everyday a part of her wished to be held in his arms. She wanted to explore the ocean with him. She wanted to take him outside more often. She wondered how soft his lips were. Gah, stupid teenage hormones. They were going to drive Felicity up a wall. These feelings though, were they just hormones or was their something more? Could it be that somewhere in this messed up world that demigods live in that Eros actually hit Felicity with an arrow to be enchanted by Josh? If so, how come it didn't seem Josh got hit too? Was this romance suppose to only be one sided? If that were to be the case Felicity didn't want part of it. She would probably start avoiding the son of Neptune more and more. She wouldn't want to even be on friendly terms with him. Why would she? All it would do would hurt her more.
Felicity smirked. "Now Josh, I was told to never lie. If I were to do that, well..." Felicity smirked at the end. She knew he was the only person who would allow to understand her sarcastic comments. Most of the campers were too serious to tease with. Luckily Josh wasn't one of those. At his statement to talk to Chiron about it sounded possible. Yet, Felicity still didn't know. She sighed. "Perhaps, but I wouldn't count on it. We are all run so thin. However, I was looking at next weeks schedule. We aren't scheduled for guard duty at all. I think Chiron has noticed us almost sleeping in our food at meal times." Felicity said with a light laugh at the end.
Felicity listened sadly to Joshs tale. It was sad. This place, even though it reminded him of good memories, must also be hurting him somewhat. Felicity just wanted to hug him and make him feel better. However, the last time she hugged him he tensed up really bad and broke it. Yet, this could be a frienly I'm here for you type of hug. She didn't know why. She just felt that Josh needed it. Or, that could just be because if she was in his shoes she would be wanting a hug. She inched closer to Josh and hugged him lighty around the shoulders. "I'm sure she is happy that you think of her here." Felicity sniffed the scent of strawberries in the air. "They do smell wonderful this time of year." Felicity stated softly.

Joshua looked at Felicity and smiled at her, no matter how much other campers and even some of the creatures of the sea told him that he shouldn't be friend of the Lord of the Underworld's daughter! There was a time that he tried to listen to those words of advice, he knew his life would be much easier if he just stood apart from Felicity, but he couldn't, it was as if she had a magnet in her and he had the oppossite side! He always ended up walking closer to her or running into her. It was something that wouldn't understand, but that he liked, that he didn't fear and that if he didn't have it, well... he would look for it. As a fly to a light-trap.
She made a sarcastic comment, which he nodded at and smiled. He knew her comments, he hadn't felt offended by then since he was 12 more or less, so he just smiled and then rolled his eyes and made a sign with his hand as if it was a gun on his temple. "oh! great! then I'm really that absentminded!" then smiled again and shook his head slowly. He looked at her and nodded at her reply about telling Chiron about skipping them on some guards, he even smiled a bit more when she told him that Chiron hadn't scheduled them to guards for the next week.
"Finally! I thought that a seahorse was going to find me on the bottom of the sea and would have to throw me to the shore!" He said and rolled his eyes then he smiled and looked at Felicity. It wasn't as if he was really going to faint or fall asleep, in the water he felt much more awaken than on Earth, but he really needed a good sleep in his bed, dry bed. Then He looked at her and she looked at him in a different way. He frowned and she got closer, just after he told her about her mother and the strawberries scent.
Felicity hugged him, he felt her scent, her warmth, so close to him. He didn't think on what he was doing, he just closed his eyes and rested his head on her shoulder and breathed deeply, as if that was the only place where he could have some rest, where he was in peace! "thank you..." but then a weird lightning ran down his spine and opened his eyes, he turned red as a tomato and pulled back from the hug. He smiled nervously at her. "erm... do you like strawberries? I love them in pie with cheese, too." he smiled again and moved a bit to sit just a couple of inches far from her. He felt his heart beating like a crasy horse in a rodeo, but he wasn't sure why.

Felicity laughed. A seahorse? Could it even carry Joshs weight? Hopefully they wouldn't have to find out anytime soon. "Don't be silly Josh. A seahorse wouldn't be able to carry you. Not after all those snacks you eat. Soon you are going to be fatter then Mr. D!' Felicity stated with a laugh as she poked Josh in the belly. Okay, so he wasn't really fat. If anything Felicity ate more snacks then him. She couldn't help it that people enjoyed bringing cookies and distributing them. Felicity could never say no to a cookie. Why would she? They don't get much junk food at camp and when the opportunity comes around to have some Felicity wasn't going to say no. She would probably ruin a mission if they had to go to a bakery, especially if the bakery was giving out free samples. She would have to be dragged out of there.
Felicity let go of the hug, well, Josh was first to pull away. Did he really not like hugs, or just hugs from Felicity. It was probably due to their bad past. Felicity wasn't going to get anywhere with him was she? "No problem, that is what friends are for." Felicity said bringing back the cheerfulness in her voice to hide the sadness of saying the word friend. In all honesty she really shouldn't like Josh. It went against a lot of things of big three kids. Felicity didn't really care, perhaps it was just a feeling that will end up going away soon. Then with the change of topic and him moving away. Felicity either smelled horrible or he really didn't want to be near her.
She sighed. "Yeah, I like strawberries. Are you talking about strawberry cheesecake?" Felicity asked with a laugh. "I like them that way too, but my all time favorite way of having them is covered in chocolate." Felicity said with a smile erupting onto her face at the thought of eating some chocolate covered strawberries. The last time she had any was last spring, which was the last time the camp had picked any. Felicity couldn't wait until the next batch was ready for harvest.

Josh looked at her when she laughed and poked his belly, he wasn't that fat, in fact he thought he kept himself in a very good shape, maybe he didn't. Who could really know? He ate a lot, maybe as much as a Hermes' kid ate, and it was something that was too much, but maybe it was just because of his teen years, maybe when he got to his twenties, he would stop eating that much. He smiled and tried to contract the muscles of his abs, he wanted Felicity to poke a rock not a jelly! then he laughed when she said that a seahorse wouldn't be able to carry his weight. "They are pretty strong and big."
Not all the seahorses were like the ones that humans knew, little and defenseless. There were some special breeds, that were big. Normal horse front and fish on the back, a human could ride them, if they allow the human to do it. They always allowed him to ride on their backs, maybe it was because he was Poseidon's son, maybe it was because he always treated them with respect and affection. but they were always willing to let him ride them. "I'll take you down there to ride one, you'll love it!" He smiled widely at Felicity.
He noticed that both of them acted kind of awkwardly when he got a bit far from her after her hug. It wasn't that he didn't like it, in fact it confused him how much he liked it. Campers said that when they were near Felicity, they felt as if death were surrounding them, they said she smelled as if they were in a graveyard, earth, flowers and... death. But when he was near her he could only smell the flowers, he didn't know why, but he loved the way she smelled, maybe almost as much as he loved the strawberries' smell. And her smell could do the same as the strawberries' one, she was maybe the only one in the camp that could calm him down.
But he felt so confused about it, that he tried to stay a bit far from her, he wanted to know if it was only because she was his friend or if there was something behind that. "I know, you know I will always be here for you, right?" he smiled and then swallowed looking to a small bush of strawberries that were near his foot. He then smiled and nodded, he loved that strawberrie cheese cake! "yep, I love it! It has been my favorite one since I was a kid." then he sighed and shook his head. "can't eat chocolate... remember, I'm allergic." maybe it was something he or his father did, but one day when he was a kid, he ate a chocolate bar and next thing he knew was that he was in the hospital. so no more chocolate in his life.

Felicity tried to imagine a big seahorse, yet it wasn't coming to her. Though she wasn't going to question a Poseidons kids knowledge of aquatic animals. It wasn't her place to do that. It would be like if Josh tried to tell Felicity how to shadow travel. Thinking about that made Felicity want to laugh. Though, perhaps it also acknowledge that she needed to take Josh on a shadow travel trip. She blushed when he offered to take her down there one day and ride one. "Really? That would be wonderful. Though in payment I'll have to take you on a trip outside of camp." Felicity said with a smile. She knew of a few places. Granted, with both of them being children of the bid three it wasn't going to be long until they met up with some very scary monsters who wanted to devour their face off.
She sighed softly. Perhaps this was a one-sided love. If that were true then why did Felicity even bother trying to like this seaweed brain. Every time she got close to him he backed away. Now this was still a little unusual because even when Felicity only liked Josh as a friend she would still go up and hug him. Perhaps it was because now he would have a new girlfriend every other week that he didn't want to make them jealous. Though, was that good enough reason to start shrugging off your friend? It was wrong in Felicitys opinion, though that might also be due to her jealousy and wanting to keep Josh all to herself. Especially with that annoying little oracle walking around camp basically leading guys on.
Felicity nodded her head with a smile. "Of course I know that." Felicity replied cheerfully. Then she frowned. How could she have forgotten that Josh was allergic to chocolate. She really was an idiot wasn't she. Felicity wanted to slam her head against a wall for being such an idiot and suggesting something chocolate covered. Finally she forced herself to smile. "I think we should raid the kitchen and cook us up some strawberry cheesecake then." She said with a laugh. "Or we can just go into the city and buy one. You know what they say. New York Cheesecake is one of the best." Felicity said with one of her excited smiles. Now she had the adventure bug again.

Josh tried to imagine the best way to take Felicity to meet the gigant sea horses. he wanted it to be a nice experience for her, but taking into account that she was Hades' daughter, it would be kind of difficult for her to be underwater, even more if his father didn't allow it! He would have to ask for his permit later, maybe he won't say no, "Felicity isn't a common Hades girl, she is special, unique..." he found himself thinking on all the things he liked from Felicity, he breathed deeply hoping she hadn't seen any pink color on his cheeks.
Then she said that she would pay with some shadow traveling. "I've never done that... it sounds interesting!" He smiled and thought about it, he had heard that travelling in shadows was dangerous, that was horrible and cold, but he would do it if Felicity was with him. "I think that maybe after I take you to the sea, you can take us through shadows to any place you like." he smiled a bit more and looked at her as always, as if she was the most wonderful girl he had ever known, but now he showed also a bit of the sparkle of love in them.
Then she said that she remembered he was allergic to Chocolate. It was good she remembered it, because when they were kids, in an attempt of not killing each other, Felicity had marshmallows with chocolate on them, she offered josh to get one, and he didn't want her to think that he didn't accept it because of her, so he accepted it and ate it, thank the gods chiron was close and had seen everything. when josh's throat closed and he fainted the magnificent Centaur took him to the infirmary, if not maybe he would be dead by then. Then Felicity told him about baking a cheese cake or even better going out of camp to buy one out there.
Baking one was one thing, going outside... well he would love to be outside again, but it would be very dangerous, and what if something happened to Felicity?! He would never forgive himself if something happened to her just because he wanted a cheese cake with strawberries. "we better go to the kitchen, maybe the harpies won't mind that much us being there... right?" he smiled and then looked at her. why he felt so worried and warm when he was with her, when he thought that something could happen to her? WHY?

"You bet it is interesting!" Felicity exclaimed. If there was one thing she enjoyed talking about it was shadow travel. True, when she first shadow traveled it did knock her out, that was when she had been running away and had gotten attacked. It was scary though. First you are in the light of the sun, enjoying the warmth, and then all of a sudden you are taken in a pitch black void which is full of cold and foreboding feelings. It was enough to scare someone. However, there was really nothing to be scared of while in the shadows. As long as you clearly see where you want to go you will be able to get there. Now, it took a lot of practice, Felicity had ended up in places she had not been aiming at before. Still ten years of practice had brought the results that she hoped for. Felicity felt pretty confident she could take a passanger with her. "You would be the first person I shadow travel with." Felicity thought allowed, her voice filled with awe and worry. She would love the share that memory with Josh but she was worried that if she messed up she would hurt him. That would be unforgivable on her part, she would never be able to look at him again.
She still felt bad that she had forgotten he was allergic to chocolate. Felicity should know first hand from the time she first offered him chocolate. Here they were enjoying the chocolate marshmallows then Josh starts having trouble breathing. Felicity was freaking out. She didn't want to hear that ringing signalling another death. Felicity wanted him to be okay, thankfully Chiron was there and was able to handle the situation. She avoided Josh for a week after that, she felt so dumb and stupid. Yet, she was also mad at him. If he was allergic to chocolate then why did he take the darn marshmallow.
Felicity thought. "The harpies...hmm...It would have to be during camp hours. Maybe early morning." Felicity though aloud. She knew that the harpies would eat any unlawful camper. She didn't feel like meeting her father just yet due to wanting to cook. "I'm sure we could just use the one in the big house. Chiron never really cares and with Mr. D being gone we have nothing to worry about." Felicity said with a smile. That was the better option, thought the still had to grab the ingredients. "I can shadow into the kitchen storage and grab the ingredients if you want." Felicity suggested. She just hoped that the furies would be too busy to notice she was intruding.
